Alpha sizes vary by brand. Always compare to the body measurement tables above.
For the most accurate fit, wear minimal clothing and have someone assist you. Keep the tape snug but not tight.
Bust
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape parallel to the floor. Do not pull tight.
Waist
Measure around your natural waistline — the narrowest part of your torso, typically 1" above your navel.
Hips
Stand with feet together. Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, approximately 7–9" below your natural waist.
Common questions about finding your best fit.
What if I'm between sizes?
Go up a size for comfort, especially in wovens and structured pieces. Look for items with stretch or adjustable features.
My bust and waist fall in different size ranges — what do I do?
Choose your size based on your largest measurement, then use a belt or simple tailoring to adjust fit at the waist.
What's the difference between standard and extended (W) sizes?
Extended (W) sizes are a different cut — not simply a scaled-up standard size. They are designed with a longer torso, a higher hip curve, and more ease through the abdomen and upper arms. A size 16 and a 16W will fit differently.
Can I rely on my alpha size (XS, S, M…)?
Alpha sizes vary by brand and style. We recommend using the body measurement tables as your primary guide and treating alpha sizes as a general starting point only.
Do garment measurements match the chart?
No. All measurements in this guide are body measurements. Finished garments include additional ease (extra room for comfort and movement). The amount of ease varies by style and silhouette.
